During your one-hour new patient appointment we perform a full comprehensive mouth examination, which involves carefully checking for signs of tooth decay and gum disease.

Your examination also includes a soft tissue oral cancer check, as well as an assessment of the jaw joints (TMJ). We will assess your bite for how well your teeth fit together and can provide various treatment recommendations if problems or potential problems are detected.

This appointment also involves taking highly detailed digital x-rays of your teeth, as well as a full mouth x-ray (OPG).

We will then explain any concerns to you, discuss various treatment options, and together develop a treatment plan to suit your needs, time frame and budget.
